Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to have your data deleted, and how to disconnect this application from your Instagram, Facebook or Google Business Profile account.

To request deletion: email [email protected] with the subject line "Data deletion request" and tell me which business or account it relates to. I will confirm within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

1. Revoke access yourself — immediate, no need to contact me

You granted access, and you can withdraw it at any time without my involvement. This takes effect immediately.

Instagram / Facebook: go to Meta Business Suite → Settings → Partners, find the partner entry, and remove it. You can also check Facebook Settings → Business Integrations and remove the app there.
Google Business Profile: go to business.google.com → Business Profile settings → People and access, and remove the manager.

Once access is revoked, no further posting or metric reading is possible, and any stored access token becomes invalid.

2. What gets deleted when you ask

3. What is not deleted, and why

Posts already published to your own accounts. These live on your Instagram, Facebook Page or Google Business Profile and are yours — you control them and can delete any of them yourself at any time. I cannot delete them once access is revoked, and would not do so without your instruction.
Records required by law. Invoices and tax records are retained for the period required by Canadian tax law. These contain business contact and billing details, not social account data.
Data held by the platforms themselves. Instagram, Facebook and Google hold their own copies under their own policies. To delete data held by Meta, use Meta's own tools.

4. If you are a customer of one of my clients

If you interacted with a business that uses one of my assistants — for example by messaging a restaurant's chat assistant — and you want that conversation deleted, email me at the address above. Say which business and roughly when, so I can locate it. I will action it and, where appropriate, tell that business.

I do not build profiles of my clients' customers, and I do not use data obtained through Instagram, Facebook or Google for advertising, resale, or AI model training.

5. Your rights under Canadian law

Under PIPEDA you may ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. If you are not satisfied with my response you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada — priv.gc.ca, 1-800-282-1376.
